I'll be honest, I struggle with watching game footage. It's easy to get caught in just watching the disc move around the field without absorbing any knowledge.
For me, watching game footage works best when I am looking for something specific to learn about. Or when I have a specific focus.
If you'd like to be watching more game footage too, this activity will add a bit of fun and a bit of focus!
It's time for Film Study BINGO.
You can play just for fun or play for prizes!

Quick Instructions
Step 1: Create a BINGO card

Bookmark the URL of your card or email it to yourself.
Generate only ONE card for yourself (SOTG and self officiation apply if you plan to submit an entry in our contest!)
Step 2: Create a row of five!
Watch game footage to find examples of the items in each box. you cannot sue the same video clip twice.
I recommend keeping a Google doc or something to list your video time stamps or GIF links so you have them all in one place when you are ready to submit your entry. An entry is a completed row: across, down, or diagonally of five sequential boxes.
You can mark your bingo card as you find things at the URL you generated above.
Step 3: Submit your entry!
Submit your entry in the Facebook group or by email! You will need your BINGO card URL and five YouTube timestamps or GIF links representing each example in your winning row.
Submit an entry by April 25th and be eligible to win 6 months access to the UAP membership of your choice!

Start Creating Your Personal Database
Use Film Study BINGO as a way to jumpstart your personal database of clips you can add to and refer back to over time. This could be as simple as some sort of Google doc spreadsheet or an Evernote folder.
Think of it as a personal collection of aspects of the game you might like to study in depth at some point. If you are a coach, this collection will give you ready examples to share with your players.
Notice the Context in the Clip
Find a foot block or a stall nine throw? What was the context that led up to that event or decision? You may need to rewind a few times to see all of the contributing factors leading up to a specific moment in time.
Find Your Digital Mentor
One of the exercises that all of my UAP Premium clients go through is to find one or several digital mentors. A digital mentor is an ultimate player that may have a similar height and build as yourself. Perhaps it's a player with similar athletic attributes playing a position you aspire to play. Finding a digital mentor will give you a person to focus on while watching game footage. If they match your physical characteristics you can be more confident that this is a player you can grow to emulate in real live.

This game will be mostly self-officiated. But I have final say on if your submission fits the descriptions in the Bingo boxes.

Option 1: In the Social Distance Training Tips group on Facebook
Upload a selfie OR a pic of your BINGO card in the Social Distance Training Tips FB group. Include your Bingo card link URL.
Submit links to five different YouTube Timestamps or GIFs that represent the five winning boxes on your BINGO card. One example cannot count for two boxes!
These links can be part of your Facebook post or as comments on your post.
